As 95% of the American Beauty lathes ship with the 3HP, it’s also something to think about for resale value when eventually the machine changes hands.
The price for this option is the incremental cost of upgrading from the 2HP inverter and motor provided with the stock American Beauty. It is much more expensive to make this change later on, as both the motor and inverter need to be swapped out.
