If you’re just working over the bed and plan to keep your work to less than 16” diameter, you’ll probably be OK with the 1.5HP. Also, if you only have access to the 110 volt electricity, you’ll be restricted to the 1.5HP. But if you have access to 220 and if you plan on taking the gap out and turning larger work, get the 2HP. It is expensive to make this change later on, as both the motor and the drive need to be swapped out.

Remote foot “OFF” switch
$ 129.00The remote foot works in series with the regular stop button on the magnetic backed controller. Either one will stop the lathe spindle. It’s handy when you’re out of position or doing hollowing work when you have both hands on the tool and want to stop the lathe.

16” Bed Extension
$ 795.00The bed extension increases spindle capacity 16”. It is made from the same heavy materials as the lathe bed. If you have a Tilt-Away, bolt the bed extension to the headstock end. Buy it with your lathe or add it later.
