Clamp the Drill Dog onto your drill bit shank or drill chuck shank to keep the drill from rotating in the quill and damaging it. Rest the handle of the drill dog on your toolrest to keep it from spinning. Drill like you normally do, but be sure to not run off the end of your toolrest with the handle, as the drill dog could spin and injure you.
