Headstock Limit Switch Disconnect

$ 40.00

When you get your American Beauty, will you need to take it apart to get it into your shop?  If so, you might want to purchase the headstock limit switch disconnect.

As you probably know, when you lock the spindle on our lathes, you cannot turn the lathe on.  This works because there is a switch inside the headstock that detects the position of the spindle lock.  You need to disconnect the cord from this switch if you plan on removing the headstock to move the lathes.

Since the switch is buried inside the headstock, disconnecting it is not easy (see “Moving an American Beauty” under the “Support” tab above).   Adding this disconnect makes it simple.  Please note, you still must unwire the motor to remove the headstock, but that’s easy to get at.
