John Kerr is retired, but his woodturning hobby is a full time obsession. He does a lot of art and craft fairs in his area. We really like this photo because it shows the advantages of the American Beauty's sliding headstock and Tilt-Away better than words can describe. John has full acess to his work without bending over when the lathe is positioned this way. Here's the note John sent along with his picture:
Attached is the promised photograph of me enjoying my American Beauty. Yesterday morning I mounted a 24" big leaf curley maple burl that I had had been contemplating for a couple of years, and decided that I had simply been waiting for the right subject matter, and this was it! The piece turned out well.
