Locked and Stopped An interlock switch disconnects the controls when the spindle lock is engaged. No more burnt belts. Get in Control The controls are on a corded pendant with a magnetic back. Place it on the headstock, tailstock or anywhere else it's convenient for you. No swinging arm to rattle when turning out of balance work.
Easy Belt Change Easy access makes belt changes a snap. Simple, quick tightening too. Open the top belt access door, open the "Robust" door on the front of the headstock (not shown) and loosen the motor lock. Then just put the belt on the pulley set you want and tighten it back up.
Simple, tools-free indexing No need to search for your Allen wrench in the wood shavings with a Robust lathe. With a few twists of the threaded index pin, your chosen position is held securely in place. Indicator marks help you determine your position.
Lamp Stand and Junk Shelf The American Beauty features a lamp stand, any lamp with a 1/2" post fits right in. Store your tape measure or super glue bottle on the junk shelf.
Lock it Down Maybe you're concerned the sliding headstock on the American Beauty isn't secure because other manufacturers use a single hold down that can loosen under load. We beat that system by using two hold downs - one on each end of the headstock - to securely lock the headstock anywhere on the bed. (front only shown). A quick release option is also available
