Steady rests are used to support large diameter bowls and hollow vessels when working on the interior. Long hollow forms especially need the support of a quality steady rest.

There are four sizes of steady rests, 16", 20", 24" and 25". All but the 20" are constructed from a rolled steel ring like you see here. The 20" is fabricated from flat stock. The wheels are heavy duty &industrial quality, not roller skate wheels.  

Steady rests are made to order, and please specify which lathe you have when ordering so that we can install the correct tennon to fit your ways.
